The Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA) received high commendation from Hon. George Simbachawene, Minister of State in the President’s Office for Public Service Management and Good Governance, during the 2025 Public Service Week exhibition at Chinangali Park, Dodoma.
The Minister, who officially opened the week-long event, lauded TCAA for its professionalism and pivotal role in bolstering Tanzania’s aviation sector.
At the TCAA pavilion, Hon. Simbachawene was briefed on the Authority’s core functions, including its rigorous safety oversight, licensing of aviation operators, and maintenance of a robust air navigation system powered by modern Very High Frequency (VHF) voice communication technology. This system ensures seamless coordination between pilots and air traffic controllers, enhancing operational efficiency.
The Minister also received updates on TCAA’s transformative projects, notably the upgrade of VHF communication infrastructure and the development of a state-of-the-art Civil Aviation Training Centre (CATC). The CATC is poised to position Tanzania as a regional hub for aviation training in East Africa, fostering skill development and industry growth.
