Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo has signed the N606,991,849,118 budget for the next fiscal year into law, focusing on key infrastructural development initiatives aimed at transforming Anambra into an investment and business destination.
The 2025 budget, tagged “Changing Gears 2.0,” aims to accelerate significant progress in critical sectors such as education, healthcare, roads, infrastructure, and security, with a full mechanism for implementation. In a release by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime, Governor Soludo emphasized that the budget signifies his administration’s commitment to the total transformation of the state for the future of its people.
With the budget now signed, ministries, departments, and agencies can begin the crucial work of rolling out programs for process actualization. While signing the budget, Governor Soludo applauded members of the State Executive Council, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and other legislators for their commitment to ensuring an enduring process in the state.
Also present at the signing ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, legislative leaders, members of the State Executive Council, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake, and representatives from civil society organizations.
