President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has extended his congratulations to President-elect John Dramani Mahama following his decisive victory in the 2024 presidential election. The official declaration of the election results was made by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs. Jean Mensa.
President Akufo-Addo expressed his commitment to ensuring a seamless transfer of power on January 7, 2025. He looks forward to working with President-elect Mahama and his team to achieve this goal. President Akufo-Addo called on all Ghanaians to unite and work together to consolidate democracy and the rule of law in the country. In the spirit of collaboration, he has invited President-elect Mahama for a meeting on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Jubilee House to initiate the transition process.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to the principles of good governance and a peaceful transition, further strengthening Ghana’s reputation as a beacon of democracy in Africa. He concluded his message with a prayer for continued blessings and strength for Ghana.
