The Ghana Police Service has taken swift action by interdicting three of its personnel following their failure to uphold professionalism during the Limited Voter Registration Exercise.
Inspector Michael Addo, G/CONST Eric Boakye, and G/CONST Michael Gyan were relieved of duty after they allegedly neglected their responsibilities at the Electoral Commission Office in Adugyama, Ashanti region.
The interdicted officers will undergo due disciplinary procedures as per the Police Service regulations.
In a related development, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, Hon. Alhaji Collins Dauda, has been apprehended by the police for his suspected role in the disruptions that marred the ongoing Limited Voter Registration Exercise in Kukuom, Ahafo Region.
The incident, which resulted in one injury, prompted a swift response from law enforcement.
The police have assured the public that they are actively pursuing other suspects connected to the disturbance.
