The Lagos State Government (LASG) has generated N300 million in revenue from Land Use Charge (LUC) in the first four months of 2024.
This achievement aligns with the projected N700 million earmarked from this charge for the fiscal year, as detailed in the 2024 Lagos State budget.
Mr. Ope George, the Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, disclosed this during the Y2024 Ministerial Press Briefing held at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, Ikeja, on Thursday.
He highlighted that the early revenue attainment underscores the feasibility of meeting the budgetary forecast and signifies a promising trajectory for surpassing annual revenue projections.
Mr. George emphasized that the state government’s realization of N300 million within the first four months of 2024 portrays a positive outlook for achieving the N700 million revenue target from Land Use Charge for the entire year.
He showed optimism regarding the state’s fiscal health and expressed confidence in the sustainability of revenue generation efforts.
