The Government of Ghana through the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) says over One Hundred and Seventy Million have been released to mixed tiers of healthcare providers across the country.
In a press release, the NHIA disclosed that the mount was released on Tuesday 30th of April 2024.
It further stated that the One Hundred and Seventy Million Seven, Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand and Thirty-Five Cedis, Seven Pesewas (GHS170,775,035.07) payment covers predominantly claims of January and February 2024 for lower tier facilities who form the majority of healthcare providers and up to November 2023 for upper tier facilities and healthcare providers.
“This is in fulfillment of the NHIA’s mandate and ensures the continued provision of quality healthcare services to all citizens.
“Management of the NHIA thanks all credentialed healthcare facilities for their dedication to the well-being of our communities and wishes all workers a Happy May Day,” Ag. Chief Executive, NHIA, Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye stated.
