President of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan has indicated that she is ready to provide various training programmes to Somalia in various fields, including defense and security.
She made this statement during a press briefing whiles giving feedback on discussions and agreement reached between her government and the President of Somalia, His Excellency Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who is in the country on an official visit.
The visit marked the first official meeting between the two leaders since President Mohamud assumed office.
Acknowledging Somalia’s strides in restoring peace and security, President Hassan affirmed Tanzania’s commitment to aiding the nation’s efforts.
Moreover, both leaders underscored the importance of strengthening economic ties, particularly in the fields of health and education.
