The Electoral Commission (EC) has pledged to unveil the 2024 electoral calendar before the conclusion of February.
The decision comes following debates surrounding the traditional December 7 date for the general elections, with calls for alterations sparked by religious considerations.
The Seventh Day Adventist Church expressed apprehensions about holding elections on a Saturday, deemed a Sabbath day by their faith.
In response to queries during the Public Accounts Committee session on Wednesday, February 21, Deputy Chair of the Commission, Dr. Bossman Asare, affirmed the impending release of the calendar, emphasizing.
“We will certainly disclose it [the calendar] before the end of February. It should be out by the end of this month [February],” Dr. Asare assured the committee.
