The East Africa Local Authorities Cultural Association (EALASCA) 2024 Games have officially kicked off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium in Mamboleo.
10 employees of the Nakuru County Government made the team representing Kenya joining over 700 participants from across the region who will showcase their talents in a variety of sports disciplines including; Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Darts, Pool, Tug of War, and Cultural Dances.
The aim of this competition is to celebrate unity and peaceful coexistence among the nations of East Africa, with sports as the unifying factor.
Nakuru County Executive for Youth, Sport, Gender, and Social Services is confident the players representing Nakuru County in Team Kenya, will contribute significantly to the Team’s success. She has urged the athletes to maintain focus and self-discipline throughout the competition.
In attendance were officials of EALASCA, KICOSCA, National and County leaders among others.
