The Head of Ghana’s Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh has held an end-of-the-year meeting with Departmental heads under the Civil Service at the Central Hotel, Accra.
The meeting sorted to discussing issues pertinent to the Service and Departments, exchange ideas, reflect on the achievements of the year and collectively map out strategies to improving service delivery for the ensuing year.
In his welcome statement, Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh expressed his sincere appreciation for the collaborative support he has received from the Heads since his assumption, on September 4, 2023 as the Head of the service.
He acknowledged the critical role that the various departments play in providing services to citizens and developing the nation Ghana.
He therefore encouraged them not to waver in their commitment and pursuit of their respective mandate, but rather continue to provide effective and efficient service that is essential to the well-being of the citizens of the country.
The Head of the Civil Service used the occasion to share his vision for the Service with Heads of Departments and Directors and invited them to support him to ensure that the vision and aspiration are brought to fruition.
During the interactive session, individual heads shared their departmental successes and challenges, offered their unique selling point to their colleagues, and invited them to patronise their services.
Dr. Aggrey-Darkoh consequently took the opportunity to wish everyone present a Merry Christmas and prosperous new year, and expressed the hope that 2024 brings fresh perspectives, new accomplishments, and continuous growth for the Country.
