The Ag. Regional Manager for Mt. Kenya, Kenya Power, Eng. Dr. Ariel Mutegi has engaged in high-level discussions with Muranga County Commissioner, Patrick Mukuria, and Muranga County Police Commander, David Mathiu.
The discussion centred on devising effective measures to curb transformer vandalism and illegal power connections within the county.
In response to the escalating challenges, they decided on a plans to conduct a comprehensive roadshow in Muranga County.
The focus of the roadshow will be to educate and sensitize customers on the safe use of electricity, promoting responsible consumption while concurrently addressing the mounting concerns surrounding illicit activities impacting the county’s power infrastructure.

They held discussions on ways of dealing with illegal activities within the electricity distribution network.
