The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA), Ms. Benonita Bismarck has emphasized the crucial role of the media in the timely dissemination of pertinent shipping and trade information to importers, exporters, shipping service providers, and other stakeholders in the shipping and logistics sector.
She conveyed the message during GSA’s 8th Media Seminar which hosted over sixty (60) journalists.
The seminar, held on Wednesday, 18th October 2023 at the Ghana Shippers’ House in Accra was themed “Contemporary Trends and Developments in Ghana’s Shipping Industry.”
Discussions during the seminar centred on Freight Rates, the Significance of Certificates of Origin in the Implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and the Advantages of the Placement of Local Marine Cargo Insurance.
Albert Kwabena Dwumfour, President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), expressed gratitude for Ms. Bismarck’s acknowledgment of the Media’s significance and value to the shipping industry.
