Republic Bank (Ghana) PLC has named Mr. Manasseh Afoh as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective from 16th August, 2023.
This new development follows approval from the Bank of Ghana.
With over 22 years of experience in Financial Services, Software Engineering, and Aviation, Mr. Afoh brings a wealth of expertise in Business/Technology Strategy, Datacentre Engineering, Financial Service Technology, Core Banking Systems, and Cloud Technologies to his new role.
Having initially joined Republic Bank as a Project Manager for Core Banking Upgrade, Mr. Afoh later served as a Consultant in the Bank’s Technology and Business Support Systems (BSS) Division.
His extensive career spans various key positions in notable institutions, including Heritage Bank Limited, Access Bank Ghana PLC, and Fidelity Bank.
As the Chief Information Officer, Mr. Afoh will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction of the Information Technology and Management Information Systems departments, contributing to the bank’s overall growth and success.
The Managing Director of Republic Bank, Mr. Benjamin Dzoboku, congratulated Mr. Afoh, expressing the management’s commitment to providing the necessary support for the successful execution of his duties.
