The Energy Commission of Nigeria has held a technical session with ECOWAS Commission on building the capacity of its members of staff responsible for collating and collecting of energy statistics.
The session, which took place at the Prof I.H Umar conference hall at the commission’s headquarters, presented a valuable opportunity to introduce our team to an advanced computerized integrated platform designed for collecting, processing, and the dissemination of energy statistics at the national level.
As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing energy data management, ECN highlighted the significance of its collaboration with ECOWAS in the development of the West African Energy Information System.
The Commission continues to prioritize the development and enhancement of its capabilities in managing energy data, recognizing the crucial role it plays in shaping our nation’s energy landscape.
This collaboration with ECOWAS aligns seamlessly with our commitment to achieving excellence in energy statistics as well as furthering ECN’s mission to contribute to Nigeria’s sustainable energy future.
