Environment and Climate Change Principal Secretary, Eng Festus K Ng’eno has this morning chaired a meeting with the Land and Natural Resources Sub-Sector.
The meeting held online focused on discussing priority projects and programs within the Land and Natural Resources Sub-Sector that align with BETA’s objectives.
The State Department for Environment and Climate Change emphasized the importance of supporting the government’s flagship 15-billion-Kenyan-shilling national tree-growing and ecosystem restoration program.
Principal Secretary Ng’eno encouraged intensified tree planting efforts during the current short rains season, highlighting the sector’s pivotal role in addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable economic growth.
