The National Land Commission Chairperson, Gershom Otachi has paid a courtesy visit to the Cabinet Secretary for Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development, Hon Alice Wahome, on Wednesday.
The meeting took place at her office in Ardhi House, Nairobi, and served as an introductory engagement between the two key figures in Kenya’s land management sector.
Hon Alice Wahome was moved to the Ministry just two weeks ago by President William Ruto, and this visit aimed to foster collaboration and discuss the way forward for the Ministry.
During the meeting, Chairperson Gershom Otachi was joined by Commissioners Prof. James Tuitoek and Reginald Okumu, as well as Directors Ben Cherutich (Finance and Corporate Planning) and Charles Kagema (Land Use Planning).
The gathering emphasized the importance of effective cooperation between the National Land Commission and the Ministry to address the country’s land-related challenges and promote sustainable development.
