South African cyber security service, Cybersplice, has announced its decision to host a cyber security webinar to help companies better protect themselves against cyber-attacks.
The webinar, which carries the theme “How manufacturers can maintain 100% production-line integrity in the face of cyber-physical attacks”, has been scheduled for Thursday, 7th September 2023, at 3pm.
Cybersplice CEO, Marais Coetzee, stated that “manufacturers can no longer ignore the unmanaged evolution of converged IT and OT networks, or trust in IT-focused or legacy approaches to protect against modern threats.”
With the threat of cyber-crime growing daily, Cybersplice’s experts on cyber-crime will be available to draft action plans and tool demos that will assist manufacturers in early detection of threats. Such training will also help them manage vulnerabilities and take charge in case of cyber-physical exposures.
The webinar has been stated to be especially ideal for plant managers, operational technology (OT) engineers, IT security leaders, among others. Attendees of the webinar will learn to:
- Achieve deep visibility across OT networks
- Implement micro segmentation to thwart lateral movement
- Shield unpatched legacy equipment from attacks
- Develop robust incident response capabilities
Cybersplice’s webinar comes in time to help combat ransomware groups and other malicious organized crime organisations from targeting vulnerable work pools, and exploiting their weak cyber-crime defences.
