The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has issued a statement wishing all candidates of the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) a successful examination period.
With the BECE scheduled to run from Monday, August 7 to Friday, August 11, 2023, the teachers’ body has expressed its hopes for students to approach the examination with a positive “can do spirit,” a mental state they believe is crucial for achieving commendable results.
In their address, GNAT also emphasized the importance of integrity and the dire consequences of indulging in malpractices.
The statement read, “We urge you not to indulge in malpractices and any other act or malfeasance which may disrupt your aims and aspirations, as well as bring all the efforts and toils to usher you into a future of prosperity and bliss into disrepute.”
The association remains hopeful that students will adhere to these instructions, and uphold the high standards of the examination process, thereby realizing their future aspirations.
