Interior CS Kithure Kindiki remains the best-performing Cabinet secretary, a survey by Tifa has revealed.
In polls released on Thursday, the former Tharaka Nithi Senator had an overall score of 34 per cent.
“At least one-third of Kenyans mention Kindiki Kithure as the best performing Cabinet Secretary,” read the report.
This is, however, a drop of three per cent compared to Tifa’s last polls in March which showed he was the best-performing CS with 23 per cent.
However, some of the people interviewed said that there was no best performing CS in Ruto’s cabinet.
“Another 40 percent feel that no such senior official is “the best performing,” reads the poll.
Education counterpart Ezekiel Machogu comes in second having a score of seven per cent. He got a seven per cent in earlier rankings.
Making it to the third position is Health CS Nakhumicha Wafula who had a score of six per cent compared to one per cent of the last polls.
1,530 respondents were interviewed between June 24 and June 30, 2023.
The sample was spread across nine regions which include Central Rift, Coast, Lower Eastern, Mt Kenya, Nairobi, Northern, Nyanza, South Rift and Western.
The interviews were conducted through the telephone with respondents whose contacts were collected through previous face-to-face.
There was a +/- 2.5 % margin of error.
