The K9 dog units of the Ghana Prisons and Police Service held the maiden edition of the K9 dog show at the Prisons Officers Training School in Accra.
The trained dogs and their trainers thrilled the crowd present with skills in dog obedience, detection of firearms, drugs and explosives. The dogs sketched a display of searches in vehicles and motorcycles to retrieve prohibited items at hidden locations.
Present at the ceremony were the Director of Prisons in charge of Services, Mrs. Patience Baffoe Bonnie (esq), the Director of Prisons in charge of Welfare, Mrs Joana Fofo Tackie-Otoo and the commandant of the Prisons Officers Training School (P.O.T.S) Mr. Gilbert Brandford Hama.
The rest were the Chief Operations Officer DDP. Francis Hagbe, the Chief legal officer DDP. Paul T. Ademan and some senior officers from the Military and Police Service
