The Senate Health Committee has launched an inspection tour of health facilities in Murang’a County, as part of their investigation into the recent death of Wakili Wachira J.M at Murang’a Level 4 Hospital.
Muranga Senator Joe Nyutu, who requested the probe, urged the committee to examine the conditions of the hospitals, including the availability of medical oxygen and ambulance services at the time of the incident.
Senator Nyutu also raised concerns about the overall state of healthcare facilities in the county, questioning the adequacy of medical services, competent staff, ward capacity, and the availability of drugs and supplies.
