The Government has officially announced that Wednesday, June 28 will be a public holiday in honor of the Eid-ul–Adha celebrations in 2023.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Interior on Wednesday, June 21, the government called for the holiday to be observed throughout the country.
Eid-ul-Adha is a significant religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide, marking Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son, Ismail, as an act of obedience to God.

Falling on the twelfth and final month of the Islamic calendar, Dhu al-Hijjah, the specific date for Eid-ul-Adha can vary from country to country due to the reliance on lunar sightings.
