Senator for Plateau Central, Diket Plang has expressed the commitment of the National Assembly to collaborate closely with President Bola Tinubu and the Judiciary to promote economic growth in Nigeria. Speaking in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, Plang praised Senate President Godswill Akpabio as a team player who would utilize his experience to effectively lead the Senate.
Plang emphasized that the 10th National Assembly would work in cooperation with the executive, judiciary, and all levels of government to drive the country towards economic prosperity and hope. He lauded the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Progressive Governors’ Forum for fostering party unity and supremacy during the National Assembly leadership elections.
Senator Plang anticipated that Akpabio’s tenure as Senate President would usher in a period of development akin to the notable progress witnessed in Akwa Ibom State during Akpabio’s governorship from 2007 to 2015, and he believed that President Tinubu also understood the significance of collaborating with the legislative arm of government. Plang urged all Senators and Nigerians, regardless of political affiliation, to support Tinubu’s people-centered policies, acknowledging that the journey might be challenging but essential for the country’s repositioning towards a brighter future.
