The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced the commencement of premium registration services in five regions starting from today, Monday, 12 June 2023.
In addition to the existing Premium Centres in Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, and Western Regional offices, the NIA will now provide these services at its regional offices in Volta, Bono, Bono East, Northern, and Western North.
The newly introduced premium registration centres will offer a range of fee-based services to individuals.
These services include first-time registration and issuance of a Ghana card at a fee of GHS280, replacement of lost, missing, or damaged cards for GHS110, and updating of personal records that require the printing of a new card, also priced at GHS110.

Moreover, the centres will handle various changes or corrections to an applicant’s information such as name, order of name, previous name or maiden name, date of birth, nationality, gender, and height, all of which will attract a fee.
The NIA aims to provide more accessible and convenient services to citizens through the introduction of these premium registration centres, allowing individuals to efficiently obtain or update their Ghana cards.
