Cabinet Secretary of Energy and Petroleum, Davis Chirchir and the Principal Secretary for Energy Alex K. Wachira on Friday May 19, 2023 held a meeting with the Scrap Metal Association stakeholders.
Meeting with the stakeholders has led to agreeing to expunge rogue dealers vandalizing and targeting power transmission & distribution infrastructure.
The Cabinet Secretary also noted that he will relentlessly fight vandalism of electric infrastructure and theft of electric equipment.
Adding that, culprits will face the full force of the law.

Those present included representatives from the Scrap Metal Council, Nairobi County Commissioner, and Energy Police Unit.
