50 Prison Officers from the Ghana Prison Service have been presented with certificates by the school of Agriculture, University of Ghana today, 10th May, 2023 at the closing ceremony in Legon.
The two (2) weeks functional training course which was opened 2 weeks ago at the School of Agriculture Farm House, University of Ghana was to equip officers with basic knowledge and skills in agriculture.
The Director of Prisons in charge of Agriculture, DOP. Hanson Adu-Awuku in his closing remarks, expressed his profound gratitude to the Dean of the school of Agriculture, the BRADETA project and training facilitators for their contributions in making the functional training a success. He also acknowledged the course participants for their comportment and active involvement throughout the period of training.
DOP. Adu-Awuku presented a plague on behalf of the Prisons Service to the School of Agriculture in appreciation of their support towards the training.
Present at the brief closing ceremony were the Dean of the School of Agriculture who doubles as the Principal Investigator of the BRADETA Project Prof. Mrs. Irene S. Egyir, the Chief Agric officer , DDP. Augustine Ohene-Tutu, some senior officers from the Prisons Headquarters and selected lecturers from the School of Agriculture, University of Ghana.
