The Principal Secretary of the State for Diaspora Affairs, Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Roseline K. Njogu together with the multi-agency team on Wednesday May 10, 2023 received 56 evacuees including citizens from Burundi, Uganda and Tanzania.
The evacuees received food and medical attention from the Kenya Defense Forces officers upon arrival at the Paloich Airport in South Sudan.
They also received further support through counseling, re-establishing contact with their families, as well as transport to their homes.
The State Department in statement showed appreciation for the support given by all the organizations and departments during the rescuing process.
