Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade, and Industry, Moses Kuria, will lead a Kenyan delegation to the United States to strengthen trade, increase investments and bolster ties.
The delegation will participate in a Bilateral Strategic Dialogue in Washington D.C. and a trade and investment roadshow in New York City.
The forums aim to pitch investment opportunities to American investors and explore new areas of cooperation in investment, trade, security, and other areas of mutual interest.
The Kenyan delegation will engage their American counterparts on five key areas, including Economic Prosperity, Health, Democracy and Governance, Defense Cooperation, Regional and Multilateral Issues, and long-term trade relations.
At the same time, a trade and investment roadshow in New York themed “Why Kenya, Why Africa” will highlight the potential of investment opportunities in Kenya and Africa, as well as the conducive business environment tailored for investors.
The Investment, Trade, and Industry Cabinet Secretary says Kenya will leverage the trade and investment roadshow in New York and the Bilateral Strategic Dialogue in Washington D.C. to pitch and invite American investors to the three-day Kenya International Investment Conference (KIICO 2023) to be held in Nairobi, Kenya from 29th-31st May 2023.
