The Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum on Friday April 7, 2023 organized an Iftar activity to commemorate the Nuzulul-Quran, which coincided with the night of 17 Ramadan 1444 H, at Wisma Duta.
The event was attended by Indonesian community, students, as well as Sudanese people and scholars who are alumni of Indonesian universities and friends of Indonesia (Friends of Indonesia).
The event featured the khataman of the Al-Quran 30 juz in the afternoon, led by Ust. M. Hibatullah Zein, a graduate student of Al-Quran Al-Karim University and Islamic Sciences, Omdurman, followed by breaking the fast with Indonesian traditional snacks and drinks.
During his remarks, Ambassador Sunarko emphasized the importance of implementing the social values of the Koran in social life, including principles such as Ta’aruf (knowing each other), Tafahum (mutual understanding), and Ta’awun (cooperating with each other).
The series of activities organized by the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum during the month of Ramadan aims to foster harmony, brotherhood, and a spirit of unity among the Indonesian community in Sudan.
