Carbinet Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Hon. Mithika Linturi has inaugurated the Kenya Veterinary Board of Directors.
During the meeting and as per the VSVP Act 2011, Dr. Jafred Kitaa was elected the Chairman and Dr. Joan Magero as the deputy.
While addressing the new Board of Directors, the CS urged the Board to work as a team to promote animal health and welfare for an improved animal resource industry.
He further asked the Board to focus on improving the lifestyle of pastoralists by ensuring quality vet services.
