Kenya Ports Authority has rolled out a sensitization campaigns targeting stakeholders following the introduction of KPA services on the E-Citizen portal.
Person taken through the platform included the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association (KIFWA) agents, Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA), consignees in Nairobi among others.
“To this new event, cargo clearance and payment processes can now be accessed through a single portal, enhancing efficiency,” the Authority wrote in a report.
The portal provides visibility across the entire chain by capturing both operational and payment processes.
It also offers real-time consignment tracking for shipments to both agents and consignees who can also view invoices and make payments online.
