Accident Investigation Bureau Nigeria has retraited its efforts towards enhancing aviation safety in Africa and beyond through quality investigations of air mishaps.
The Bureau Commissioner, Engr. Akin Olateru who was represented by the Director of Engineering AIB, Muhammad Wali made a statement on Monday.
According to a statement signed by the General Manager of Public Affairs AIB, Tunji Oketunbi said AIB would keep cooperating with relevant organisations and aviation industry players to safeguard the airspace in the African sub-region and beyond.
“AIB, in partnership with industry stakeholders, will always play a critical role in promoting aviation safety through quality investigations and timely publication of reports,” he said.
He emphasized the Bureau’s commitment to staying in step with modern trends to increase aviation safety through technology, training and retraining of workforce while substantially advancing the fulfillment of its purpose.
In his remarks, the BAGAIA Commissioner Charles Erhueh appreciated AIB management, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, and the AU for their assistance and collaboration in ensuring the workshop’s success.
