The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) has organised a one-day technical review session to adopt the indicators of the District Agricultural Governance Index (DAGI).
The initiative is for the inclusion into the existing Performance Management System Framework of Metropolitan, Municipal District Assemblies (MMDAs).
In a remark, the Director of the Management and Technical Services Directorate (MTSD), Mrs. Lilian Baeka said DAGI is a self-assessment tool developed in 2017 by the AGREE Activity with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to assess the responsiveness of MMDAs on agricultural development.
She highlighted the objectives of the workshop and called on the team for their maximum participation and contribution to the successful integration of the DAGI into the PMS framework.
Present at the technical review session were members of the Performance Contract team of the OHLGS, selected Regional and District Directors of Agriculture as well as selected Regional and District Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officers.
