Professor Kenneth Agyemang Attafuah has officially retired from his role as the Executive Secretary of Ghana’s National Identification Authority (NIA), concluding a distinguished seven-year tenure.
During his time leading the NIA, Prof. Attafuah was instrumental in advancing Ghana’s identification systems, notably overseeing the nationwide registration and issuance of the Ghana Card.
His efforts modernized and streamlined the national identification process, significantly enhancing the country’s data infrastructure and accessibility.
In a farewell statement, the management and staff of the NIA expressed their deep appreciation for Prof. Attafuah’s dedicated service.
They commended his contributions to the growth of the National Identification System, noting that his leadership would benefit generations to come.
