The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Chief Executive, Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye says the government’s commitment to financing the operations of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) is unparalleled.
According to him, President Nana Addo-Dankwah Akufo Addo’s administration has settled nearly all outstanding Claims of credentialed healthcare providers.
Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye on October 17, 2024 , praised the government’s stellar performance during the inauguration of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), newly built Suaman District Office in the Western North Region.
He also handed over a new operational vehicle to augment the operations of the Suaman District Office.
He posited that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) deserved another term to accomplish its unfinished development agenda.
He reminded all residents to sign up for the NHIS and gain from the expanded Benefit Package, now including Mental Health diseases and dialysis treatment.
A Deputy Finance Minister, Hon. Dr. Alexander Ampaabeng urged residents of the Suaman community to vote massively for the NHIA Deputy Chief Executive for Finance and Investment, Mr. Frederick Addy who doubles as the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Suaman constituency.
The NHIA ultimate goal is to fully drive the national agenda of attaining Universal Health Coverage (UHC) by the year 2030.
The Authority has taken initiatives and accomplished the same in the light of contributing to the overall growth and development of the Ghanaian economy.
The Authority is on an extensive facility mapping exercise across the country, in a bid to increase access to healthcare for all members of the Scheme.
