The Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) to reduce logistics costs by 15% for SMEs registered with the agency.
This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Nigeria. The partnership was solidified through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two agencies, aiming to tackle the high logistics costs that have been a significant burden for many SMEs in the country.
High logistics costs often surpass the cost of production, creating a financial strain on SMEs. To alleviate this issue, NIPOST has agreed to provide a 15% discount on logistics services for businesses registered under SMEDAN.
The collaboration is expected to significantly reduce operational costs for SMEs, thereby improving their market competitiveness. Both SMEDAN and NIPOST are optimistic that this partnership will contribute positively to the growth and development of SMEs in Nigeria.
