Joseph Abuabu Dadzie has assumed office as the new Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), succeeding Mr. Opoku-Ahweeneh Danquah.
Mr. Dadzie’s appointment comes following the conclusion of Mr. Danquah’s tenure on April 26, 2024. With extensive experience spanning over 25 years in various sectors including energy, oil and gas, telecommunications, and banking, Mr. Dadzie brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Executive, Mr. Dadzie served as GNPC’s Deputy Chief Executive responsible for Commerce, Strategy & Business Development.
His professional journey includes notable positions such as Chief Operating/Finance Officer for Surfline Communications Limited and Chief Finance Officer for Woodfields Energy Resources.
Mr. Dadzie further demonstrated international exposure through working attachments with renowned institutions in Europe and the United States.
Mr. Dadzie holds impressive academic credentials, including a Master’s degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Master of Science degree in General Management from Nyenrode Business Universiteit, Netherlands. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology.
