The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced an active transformer upgrade together with other unmentioned initiatives to relieve transformers ensuring more reliable power supply in the country.
Revealed in an official statement on Monday, 11th March, 2024, the company added that soo far 630 distribution transformers within communities across their operational areas have been identified to be full to capacity due to increased demand.
“This situation may result blown fuses and broken conductors causing outages, especially during the peak load period ( 7pm – 11pm) in the affected areas,” ECG wrote.
They further communities and localities identified in the list below to report any localised outage or voltage fluctuation to the company on 0302 – 611611.
