The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone “C” Owerri, has announced the seizure of goods with a total Duty Paid Value (DPV) exceeding N5 billion in the 2023 fiscal year.
The Zone’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC) Jerry Attah, revealed in a press release on Wednesday that the seizures were a result of the hard work, resilience, dedication, and commitment of the men and officers of the Zone.
The Zone “C” Comptroller, Kayode Kolade, decorated 46 newly promoted officers in a ceremony held on the same day.
The promotions spanned various ranks, with notable advancements such as the promotion of the Zone’s Public Relations Officer, Jerry Attah, from Superintendent of Customs (SC) to Chief Superintendent of Customs (CSC).
Comptroller Kolade commended the promoted officers for their contributions and emphasized that the achievements, both in seizures and promotions, were a testament to the dedication and commitment of the entire team in Zone “C” Owerri.
