The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed Carizma Hotel and Luxury Suites in Abule Egba.
Despite receiving multiple warnings and engaging in prior discussions with LASEPA, the hotel failed to adhere to the stipulated noise levels, prompting the agency to seal the establishment on 27th December, 2023.
The closure follows the violation of terms outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding signed during earlier meetings, which included commitments to halt noisy activities by 10 pm and comply with approved noise levels.
LASEPA’s action follows the agency’s commitment to creating a healthier and more sustainable environment for residents.
“In furtherance of its campaign against noise pollution and other environmental infractions, LASEPA today sealed Carizma Hotel and Luxury Suites located at Abule Egba area of the State.
Despite receiving multiple warnings and agreeing to guidelines in previous meetings with the agency, the hotel failed to comply with stipulated noise levels.
The decision to seal the hotel was made and carried out today, 27th December, 2023 after it violated the terms outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding signed during earlier meetings, which included commitments to cease noisy activities by 10 pm and adhere to approved noise levels.” LASEPA wrote.
