The County Government of Nakuru has responded swiftly to a devastating fire incident that occurred and razed James Waithaka’s family home in Naivasha East Ward.
In line with H.E. Governor Susan Kihika’s pledge for a swift response to disasters, Chief Officer for Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance, Joyce Ncece led a team in delivering essential household items including blankets, mattresses, and iron sheets to the family.
Neighbours who spoke to the writer said they were impressed by the County Administration’s prompt action saying it is a testament to the efficacy of collaborative efforts.
CO Ncece urged resident to take caution when using electrical appliances, emphasizing their role in home fire accidents. She also commended residents for their continuous support of Governor Susan Kihika’s administration.
Over and above, she urged farmers to leverage the ongoing rains, planting short-season crops for a bountiful harvest.
Naivasha Sub- County Administrator Mr King’ori Mwangi commended area residents for showing great interest in diversified farming by having them registered for Pyrethrum and avocado seedlings.
Elder Paul Kariuki expressed gratitude for transformative projects, including the Munyu Dispensary laboratory, increased bursary funds, Munyu Sission Road grading, and the modern toilet block at Ihindu Market.
