Speaking on the bank’s motivation, Darko emphasized GEXIM’s belief in the pivotal role of agriculture in national development.
He underscored the bank’s interest in financing agriculture and agro-processing to enhance the competitiveness of Ghanaian products in the global market.
Darko stated, “We believe that if agriculture is supported and financed well, it would have an overall impact on the development of the country,” emphasizing that Ghana’s development is intrinsically tied to the growth of its agricultural sector.
The Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, Yaw Frimpong Addo, praised GEXIM’s consistency in supporting Farmers Day, expressing gratitude for the donation, and encouraging the bank to continue its crucial role in fostering agricultural development for the benefit of the nation.
