The Senior Staff Union Branch of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) project office has generously extended its support to the victims of the Akosombo dam spillage.
The union donated GH¢12,000 to the Citi FM/Citi TV’s campaign aimed at providing relief to those affected in the Lower Volta region.
In addition to the monetary aid, the union has given 40 gallons of hand sanitizers and 1,500 bottles of water to assist Citi FM in tending to the immediate needs of the victims.
The ECG union has pledged its professional expertise in restoring electricity to the homes affected once the waters subside.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the General Manager of ECG Projects Office SSU and other notable representatives of the Division.
Chantel Anombase, host of ‘Brunch in the Citi’, accepted the items on behalf of Citi FM/Citi TV, while various other corporations and individuals have also chipped in to bolster the relief efforts. Notably, KFC Ghana will be donating 1000 meals to the victims on Saturday, October 21, 2023, under this campaign led by Citi TV and Citi FM.
