The Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA), in collaboration with the Judicial Training Institute (JTI) has marked a successful conclusion of their 14th Maritime Law Seminar with grandeur.
The two-day event, held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra and the Tema Port from July 7th to 8th, 2023, brought together over forty Justices from the Superior Courts of Ghana.
The seminar served as a platform to acquaint the attendees with the latest developments in the Shipping and Logistics industry, with a focus on enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of maritime dispute resolution.
The event underscored the ever-evolving dynamics of the shipping and logistics sector, providing valuable insights for judicial decision-makers.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Chief Justice Justice Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkornoo emphasized the relevance of the seminar’s topics, highlighting its importance in ensuring fair, timely, and effective adjudication of maritime matters in Ghana’s courts.
Benonita Bismarck, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the GSA, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the significance of the seminar in light of the dynamic nature of the shipping and logistics industry.
The 14th Maritime Law Seminar exemplified the commitment of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority and the Judicial Training Institute to promote excellence and knowledge-sharing in maritime law within the country’s judiciary.
