According to the latest Stockbrokers weekly report, the DCI witnessed a notable increase of 0.47 percent, closing at 8,742.71 points compared to the previous week’s 8,701.85 points.
This positive momentum has been a boon for investors, as the year-to-date performance of the index shows a substantial gain of 13.15 percent.
During the week, a significant volume of trading activity was recorded, with a total of 2,778,008 securities changing hands, valued at an impressive P9,522,129.
The ongoing surge in the stock market continues to reflect the confidence of investors in the domestic economy.

“The Domestic Companies Index (DCI) increased by 0.47 percent during the week ending October 13, 2023. As indicated by the Stockbrokers weekly report, the index closed at 8 742.71 points from 8 701.85 points of the previous week. For the year-to-date, the index gained 13.15 percent. A total of 2 778 008 securities valued at P9 522 129, were traded during the week,” the bank wrote.
