The Health and Social Care Committee is set to release a comprehensive report by its Expert Panel, evaluating the Government’s progress on commitments made regarding Pharmacy in England.
Scheduled for publication on July 25, 2023, the report will shed light on the status of nine commitments across five policy areas: community pharmacy, integrated care, hospital pharmacy, workforce education and training, and extended services.
Chaired by the esteemed Professor Dame Jane Dacre, Emeritus Professor of Medical Education at University College London, consultant physician, rheumatologist, and former President of the Royal College of Physicians, the Expert Panel aims to provide independent evaluations of the Government’s healthcare policies.
These evaluations will be graded using CQC-style ratings, ranging from “inadequate” to “outstanding,” offering a holistic assessment of the Government’s performance in the specified policy areas.
The Health and Social Care Committee’s decision to establish the Expert Panel reflects its commitment to enhancing scrutiny of Government commitments in the healthcare sector.
