Environment and Climate Change Principal Secretary Eng. Festus Ng’eno is participating in the Berlin Climate and Security Conference, which is being held at a hotel in Nairobi.
The conference, jointly organized by the Kenyan and German Governments, commenced with an official opening ceremony led by Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E Musalia Mudavadi and German State Secretary and Special Climate Envoy H.E Jennifer Morgan.
The conference has brought together world leaders and experts in various fields to examine the relationship between climate and security, with a focus on Africa, in order to find sustainable solutions for addressing the impacts of climate change.
“The conference, co-hosted by the Kenyan and German Governments, was officially opened by Prime Cabinet Secretary H.E Musalia Mudavadi and German State Secretary and Special Climate Envoy H.E Jennifer Morgan.
The conference brings together global leaders and subject experts to explore the nexus between climate and security with a view of finding sustainable solutions to climate change impacts especially in Africa,” the State Department for Environment and Climate Change wrote.
